She has written several interesting novels in her writing career under different series. On a positive note, I did enjoy the story.Kerrigan Byrne is one of the well known authors from The United States who likes to write her books based on the historical fiction, mystery, thriller, and romance genres. In my dream world it would be Derek Perkins & Justine Eyre as a narration combo. Like I said, a narrator can truly make or break a listening experience. I hate to say this, but it sounded unprofessional. And when they would switch between the narrators & go to her, the sound quality wasn’t the same. Her voice sounds monotone a lot of the time to me. As much as I ADORE the Kerrigan Bryne/Derek Perkins combo, I’m gonna pass on the other book they did with Stella Hunter. They make you hate when you have to pause it & look forward to when you can hit play to continue the book. I’m not familiar with her so maybe she’s new? A good narrator truly makes the book come alive to the listener. To me it sounded like she’s just reading lines off a page & putting no emotion whatsoever into them.
He will make your heart swoon! I hate to be negative but I didn’t care for Stella Hunter as a narrator. In my romances I like a real man’s man with of course a tender side & Derek Perkins’ voice is incredible at giving this to the listener. There is no one like Derek Perkins! In my opinion he is the absolute BEST at narrating historical romance. A story can be great, but when it’s an audible book, the narrator can make or break it. I absolutely love her Victorian Rebels series & have listened to the entire series numerous times. Kerrigan Byrne is one of my top 3 authors.
I liked this story & didn’t expect alot of detail since it’s one of Kerrigan Byrne’s shorter books.
